Sheena is the ONLY candidate who is INVESTED in this community as she chose to open and maintain her law firm in Hamilton County once she went into private practice over three years ago – years before Judge Scaff retired, and years before the position of Hamilton County Judge became vacant.
Sheena has not only INVESTED her money locally, she has also INVESTED her time. Sheena frequently and consistently volunteers her time to multiple causes, all of which benefit the communities of Hamilton County.
Sheena not only organizes, sponsors, and hosts the annual Trunk or Treat event in Jasper; Sheena also organizes, sponsors, and hosts the annual Christmas Toy Drive in Jasper.
Sheena’s longstanding community involvement shows that she did not move to Hamilton County for opportunity or power. Sheena has been here working in and supporting this community for almost a decade. She is the ONLY candidate who personally knows the people here and the issues our small rural communities face.
Sheena has handled many areas of the law such as family law, government law, injunctions, civil law, landlord disputes, estate planning, probate, criminal defense, and criminal prosecution. Her broad range of experience in many different areas of law also makes her the best candidate for the position.
Sheena is well-reasoned and experienced in a broad range of the law. She has handled both sides of almost every aspect of the law. She has prosecuted and defended. She has represented husbands and wives. She has represented the interests of children. This experience makes her FAIR. Sheena understands the difference between a bad person and someone who is having a bad day.
Sheena is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as an expert in Criminal Trials, having tried 46 jury trials to date and an estimated 100 or more non-jury trials and contested final hearings.
Being board certified means that the Florida Bar certifies that Sheena has been “Evaluated for Professionalism, Tested for Expertise.”
Sheena is the ONLY private board certified attorney in the Third Judicial Circuit, which covers Hamilton, Madison, Taylor, Suwannee, Columbia, Lafayette, and Dixie Counties.
Established by the Florida Supreme Court, board certification is conferred upon lawyers by the most credible and highest authority over the state’s legal community, The Florida Bar.
As of 2023, 5% of eligible Florida Bar members – fewer than 5,000 lawyers – have earned board certification in one or more of the 27 specialty areas.
